Accounting Clerk

Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry: Accurately input financial transactions into accounting software or spreadsheets.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, verify payment amounts, and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Record Management: Maintain and organize financial records, ledgers, and files for audit readiness.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts.
  • Report Generation: Prepare financial reports, summaries, and documents as required by management.
  • Compliance: Assist in ensuring adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Clerical Support: Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, filing, and document preparation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in accounting or a related field preferred).
  • Experience: 1–2 years in an accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical role is an advantage.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
    • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
    • Good organizational and time-management skills.
    • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
