Accounting Clerk
Responsibilities:
- Data Entry: Accurately input financial transactions into accounting software or spreadsheets.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, verify payment amounts, and reconcile discrepancies.
- Record Management: Maintain and organize financial records, ledgers, and files for audit readiness.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts.
- Report Generation: Prepare financial reports, summaries, and documents as required by management.
- Compliance: Assist in ensuring adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Clerical Support: Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, filing, and document preparation.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in accounting or a related field preferred).
- Experience: 1–2 years in an accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical role is an advantage.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
